Everything Points To Jesus

Easter 2013

There’s a buzz of excitement around NWLife this week – as I’m sure there is around most every church in the country.

With Easter just a few days away, there’s always a lot to do.

We’re busy preparing both the inside and outside of the church.

We’re double checking to make sure we have enough quantities of certain things and that everything is in place.

The eggs are stuffed, donuts ordered, and volunteers scheduled.

We’re excited and ready – expectant for all the Lord will do.

Because come Sunday, we’ll fill this place…

I’d imagine that some individuals will come longing to receive something they feel is missing from their lives.

Some with the hope that they will experience what only the Lord can offer.

And some because it’s simply what you do on Easter.

No matter what brought them, my prayer is that we’re all ready for them.

Churches will be full of individuals who are longing for something different; who need a new hope and a fresh start – those who have been scarred and wounded and those who only visit once or twice a year.

It doesn’t matter if your Easter service is in a church auditorium, a sports arena, or a movie theater- it doesn’t matter if you have 30,000 in attendance or 30 – I hope that you will spend the next few days praying for the people that walk through your doors.

I’m praying that this Sunday – everything points to Jesus.

That His name is lifted up and He is made famous.

I pray He works in the lives of individuals in the exact way they need; that they are drawn to Him more than they could have ever imagined.

I’m praying for my Pastor, fellow staff members and all the amazing volunteers who will be giving their time in Kid’s Ministry – that God may use them to make a big difference this weekend and impact the lives of people.

I hope you’ll join me -that you’ll pray for amazing things to happen this weekend.

Big things!

Can you just imagine all the stories that will come later?

Stories of how God moved in miraculous ways.

Stories of how God restored and renewed.

Let’s be ready friends.

I’m praying for you.

Happy Easter!

“Very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.  As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen!” Luke 24:1-6
