Distressed Mason Jars

Even though it was 45 degrees yesterday, the sun did make an appearance for a few hours, so I felt the need to break out some spring colors.

And because I’ve been on a mason jar kick lately, I decided to stick to the trend.

This craft is so simple and lots of fun.

It’s as easy as spray painting several jars in your favorite spring colors.

I found I prefer the flat paint to the glossy for this particular project but either will work.

Spray paint the jars upside down to be sure to cover the bottom of the jar. Two coats works best and it does take several hours to dry.

To give the distressed look simply use a nail file or emery board and file away.

You can file off as much paint as you prefer and that’s it – you’re done!

A simple and cute addition to your spring decor.
